Gryllus bimaculatus is a species of cricket in the subfamily Gryllinae. Also known as the African or Mediterranean field cricket or as the two-spotted cricket. It is native to southern Europe.
They are Very similar in nutritional value to silent crickets, however are slightly larger in size and able to withstand harsher environments. Supplementing can be by gut loading or dusting and this cricket can be supplied in a range of sizes from 2mm to 30mm.
If they are cold when they arrive, they may appear to be dead, however put them close to a warm heat source for an hour or so and they will start to come around.
